Your editorial regarding our increasing use of corn for production of fuel ethanol was well put. In January 2007, the price for 50 pounds of organic wheat was $18 a bag. In January, 2008, it had climbed to $31, and today it is at $41.77, because the rise in corn prices drives up the price for all grains. This is a 143 percent increase for people who eat bread.
